Our Charities
We’d love to raise some serious money for four incredible charities. We will cover the costs of the race through corporate sponsorship, so if you are inclined to give money to encourage us on this crazy endeavour, your money will go directly to the charities we have selected below, so please dig deep!
We are aiming to raise over £150,000 for Breakthrough T1D (type 1 diabetes), The London Irish Centre (community support), VeloSano (cancer research) and the Army Benevolent Fund (supporting soldiers, veterans, and their families).

Jamie’s son Johnny was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes so both he and Dom (Johnny’s godfather and uncle to Henry who is also type 1) were particularly keen to put this charity at the forefront of their fundraising.

The London Irish centre empowers and enriches lives through Irish community and culture.
Often big cities present personal challenges; loneliness, lack of sense of community or logistical hurdles can make if difficult to know where to go or who to turn to. Ireland is regularly referred to as the land of a thousand welcomes, and at the London Irish Centre, they aim to bring that welcoming spirit to everything they do.
As the doctor in the team, it was natural that Charlie would be keen raise money for this transformative charity in the health sector.

After 25 years in the army, Nick has first-hand experience witnessing the difference this charity makes.
The Army Benevolent Fund is at the forefront of support for the Army family.
They award grants to individuals and families, and fund leading charities and organisations to ensure help is there when it’s needed.
In 2023/24 they helped 75,000 people in 51 countries worldwide, and funded 86 other charities and organisations that deliver frontline services.
